Ubisoft didnt announced what engine is behind Assassins Creed Unity. Rather than just show you a few seconds of Snake climbing, like most games would, Metal Gear Solid 3 makes you do the entire climb yourself. The first wave of UE4-powered games include survival horror game Daylight and the co-op RPG Fable Legends. It comes just after Snake defeats a master sniper called The End when Snake is forced to ascend to the top of the Krasnogorje mountains.
However, it appears that some indie devs are working. Man, a remake of Bioshock in the UE4 engine would be the greatest idea ever and considering next year is the games tenth anniversary that would be the perfect. Nightdive Studios released last month a remastered version of Shadow Man. While that might not sound thrilling, the ladder climb has become an iconic moment for Metal Gear Solid fans. Shadow Man Unreal Engine 4 Fan Remake appears to be in development. The whole thing has been painstakingly recreated using Unreal Engine 4 and it looks fantastic. The remade cutscene comes courtesy of Erasmus Brosdau, a cinematic designer who previously worked on Ryse: Son of Rome. If you’re holding out for a Metal Gear Solid 3 remaster for the PS5, well you’re probably going to be waiting a long time, but at least you can feast your eyes on this stunning remake of one of its most iconic scenes.
